Srini and I felt like dancing the evening away at our home. 'Jab we Met' has just right sound track to satiate our whim. While our poor neighbors had to put up with our occasional careless enthusiastic heavy step, we danced away to glory. What was our fuel? Popcorn masala and Bull Frog.
According to our 'mixing chart' Vodka and lemonade is termed Bull Frog. I had both at hand . Seems to good be true eh? So the non believer in me asked google only to find out many a Vodka based cocktail are called Bull Frog. Whats in a name? In my dictionary Bull frog will be a simple Vodka and Lemonade cocktail. Enjoy
For the popcorn:
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: Nil
Serves: 3-4
Cost: 1.50$ : 0.5$ for a bag of popcorn + 1.00 for etcetera
1/2 cup of finely diced shallot
1/3 cup of finely diced tomato
2 tbsp of chopped cilantro
a pinch of salt
1 tsp of lime/lemon juice
a pinch of red chili powder
12 cups of popped corn
• Add the shallot, tomato, cilantro, salt and lime juice in a mixing bowl and give it a toss.
• Add in the popcorn and toss it all together.
We flushed it down with a bull frog. I would not make this again. The juices from tomato, the lime turned the popped corn soggy quickly. Though it tasted fresh this dish fails in the texture test.
For the Bull frog:
Preparation time: 5 mins
Serves: 2
80 ml of Vodka
320 ml of lemonade
20 ml of Triple Sec
8 cubes of ice crushed
lemon rind and a slice for garnishing
• Use chilled Vodka and lemonade and mix it in a pitcher . Stir it with a spoon.
• Put in 4 cubes of crushed ice in the glass.
Serve it with a lemon rind and slice of lemon as garnish I liked this combination way better than Vodka and Orange juice aka Screwdriver.

Bullfrog, what a scary name for a lemonade vodka cocktail....:)
How cute! And romantic! I doubt I could ever make my hubby to dance with me. He is not the dancing kinds at all. I have to force him to take a few steps with me together, that is itself a big deal. :)
A lovely drink! And what an idea with Popcorns! WOW! Have been making them since ages at home, but never thought of making them like this. I'm sure they are very tasty. Will have to try it the next time I make them. :)
good to hear that you both enjoy dancing .. unfortunately, my hubby hates dancin :( bullfrog looks like fun
How many of those bullfrogs did you guys have before deciding to dance? :)
Bhags: More unrelated than scary I thought. I did try to trace the origin but did not find any! So any help in that department is appreciated
Thanks PG: Hubs loves dancing and me I need a drink or 2 to loosen up and start grooving and moving :D. The popcorn tasted fresh and light with this combo. but we had to guff it pretty quickly as it could have turned soggy otherwise
Hi Vegetable: Thanks for dropping by. Bullfrog was fresh and cool
Hey Sig: Me had to guzzle one , Hubs usually has a spring in his step and cant resist dancing when there is good music. I sing to compensate for the lack of sponatneous spring
Yummy...I love it!!
